40 robbery suspects arrested in Kaduna, says Police

The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested 40 suspects, who were allegedly involved in armed robbery and other crimes, in an early morning raid on Tuesday in Kaduna.

The command’s Public Relations Officer, Aminu Lawal, said in Kaduna that all the suspects were arrested along Danmaliki Street and Nnamdi Azikwe Expressway, following a tip-off.

Mr. Lawal said the police had recovered two sets of Army camouflage uniforms, two laptop computers, four unregistered motor cycles and a Toyota Siena bus.

“Other items include house breaking instruments and a large quantity of dry leaves suspected to be Indian Hemp.

He said the suspects were being interrogated and those found wanting would be arraigned in court.

“We shall continue with the raid on the identified hot spots until we rid the city of criminals. We urge the good people of the state to report any suspicious persons or movement around their areas,” he said.
