RAILWAYS AND PIPELINES WILL REDUCE THE NUMBER OF TRUCKS ON THE ROAD, EXTENDING THE LIFESPAN OF THE ROADS, REDUCING THE INCIDENCE OF ROAD ACCIDENTS INVOLVING TRUCKS, SPEEDING DELIVERY OF FUEL AND OTHER GOODS, REDUCING OVERHEAD FOR BUSINESSMEN AND ULTIMATELY REDUCING COST OF EVERYDAY GOODS. THE HOPE FOR GOOD ROADS IN NIGERIA WILL REMAIN ELUSIVE IF ROAD TRANSPORT IS THE ONLY MEANS OF MOVING GOODS. MAY GOD BLESS NIGERIA (OR WHAT REMAINS OF IT…LOL) WITH LEADERS WHO WILL THINK OF WAYS TO SOLVE PROBLEMS RATHER THAN THROWING MONEY AT IT.
