The decision to shut Air Nigeria’s operations has left Julius Agwu stranded.

Ace comedian, Julius Agwu, is stranded in the U.S., following the Air Nigeria crisis.

Air Nigeria suspended all its activities from Wednesday in an announcement by billionaire owner, Jimoh Ibrahim.

Julius Agwu, one of the victims of Mr. Ibrahim’s actions, took to Twitter to lament his current situation.

According to Agwu, he flew with Air Nigeria from Nigeria to London for his Crack Ya Ribs show held on August 26, 2012 at the plush Lighthouse Hall, Camberwell. He cannot return to Nigeria now, because the airline has abruptly shut down services.

His tweets read, “Is it a Crime to support nigerian bizness, we flew AirNig to Lond, now we can’t return cos #JimohIbrahimOFR ordered a closure GEJ #WHY?☹’.”

”#JimohIbrahimOFR #JimohIbrahimOFR #JimohIbrahimOFR #JimohIbrahimOFR #JimohIbrahimOFR GEJ#WHY?????’Postpone your closure until after our return o!!!! #NaijaBizness,” the comedian tweeted.

The challenge notwithstanding, Agwu who has already staged concerts in London and New York, will be going live on stage in Houston on Saturday, September 8, 2012.

It’s not only Julius Agwu that faces a new status as refugee in London, I also fly into Gatwick through Air Nigeria and expected to return 16 September after my editorial assignment here in London but seems Jimoh Ibrahim is not ready to arrange how I will be back to Lagos. The airline-air Nigeria has no office here in London where we can inquire about our fate and the telephone numbers left at their now deserted desk at Gatwick are ever busy. It is becoming rather embarrassing as I could not really concentrate on my duty as the thought of how to raise another dough (at least 450pounds-over a 100k naira) to buy another one-way ticket to Lagos has enveloped me now. It is really sad. -Funsho Arogundade.
