Leo’Nel was unveiled six months ago in Lagos, Nigeria.

Six months after he was unveiled to the media at an event held in Lagos, Leo’Nel, son of veteran Nollywood actor, Zack Orji, has dropped yet another single titled Dancia.

The singer, who signed on to Dope Mates Music, says he has been busy since the release of the video for ‘Rockstar’ and the ‘Drank in my cup’ cover; making and recording new material.

As a teaser of great things to come, he adds that the brand new party-starting single is one that will keep music buff dancing and singing along.

”I combined various elements to create an enthralling and pulsating 3:28 minute of stellar music. I am armed with an addictive flow and witty wordplay. I am blessed with superior use of lush and varied drum patterns fused in with snares and synths – that has not just put out one of the most captivating songs out now but also one of the best Pop records of 2013,” the singer said.

Born Lionel Chukwuemeka Orji, the RnB/pop artiste is also an emerging musician/producer whose style is diverse as he sings, raps, dances, produces and writes all his songs from the eastern part of Nigeria.

On his father’s stance on his music career, he said, ”Many people don’t know my dad. They do not know that he is a perfect gentleman outside the screen who will respect anybody’s choice in life. He is not a domineering person and that is why he is my mentor, dad, manager, motivator all rolled into one. He respected my choice of music and he had been so supportive that even a manager being paid a million pounds a year won’t have achieved what he has achieved for me within this short period of time and I am always grateful to my dad.”

Leo’Nel’s love for music began at a tender age of 9, and ever since then, he has been working towards making good music.

The graduate of Media Studies with Television from the University of Bradford, U.K., is most famous for one of his self-produced debut singles, ‘Rockstar,’ which was directed by Dis Guise in the U.K.

Leo’Nel has performed at different places in the U.K. and Nigeria. He performed at Basketmouth’s Lord of the Ribs in Manchester, MI’s album launch party in Huddersfield, the ZAFAA award nominations in Lagos, the Global News Awards in Lagos among others.
