Literary adherents gather for book reading

The Pulp Faction Club spices up its sixteenth edition with unending conversations about topical issues.

This weekend, literary aficionados will gather for the 16th edition of Book N Gauge, a monthly reading event organised by Pulp Faction Book Club.

Tagged Unending Conversations, this edition will feature Sylva Nze Ifedigbo, whose collection of short stories, The Funeral Did Not End, was recently released in Lagos. Ifedigbo trained as a veterinary doctor but now works in Corporate Communications while writing on the side.

Also on the bill is Atilola Morounfolu, author of Antonyms of a Mirage. An editor and publisher at Neighbourhood Magazine, Atilola is also a spoken word artist.

Based on its theme of ‘Unending Conversations,’ the 16th edition of the literary interactive session will explore literature’s role in the continuous cycle of conversations around issues that matter.

Not all about books, the event will feature spoken word poet Sage Hasson and violinist Ernest Bissong.

The event will take place on Saturday, September 29 between 2 and 5p.m. at its usual venue, Debonair Bookstore in Sabo, Yaba.
