Both contestants could not get enough votes to remain in the show.
Chinyere Akueh and Sonia Obi have become the latest evictees from the ongoing Project Fame Reality Show, after emerging the contestants with the least number of votes.
After a look at what went down last weekend and what the contestants did during the week, it was time for the fateful event of the night. So, one after the other, they all came out to perform the same songs they did last weekend.
When the results were released, Musulyn, Chinyere, Sonia, Christian and Didi were placed on probation and had to sing their way to survive and escape the claws of elimination.
Sadly, Chinyere and Sonia were not so lucky. Their fate was decided upon by the viewers’ votes after last weekend’s Classic African Night. As a build to the eviction show, Musulyn sang Angelique Kidjoe’s Adouma, Chinyere-Omawunmi’s Love Nwantintin, Sonia- Onyeka Onwenu’s-Dancing in the Sun, Christian- Shina Peters’ Afro Juju and Didi performed Sir Rex Lawson’s Adure.
After thorough deliberations, the judges- Adebantu, Bibi Brew, TY Mix and Cobhams Asuquo (Guest Judge)- saved Musulyn, while faculty opted for Christian. The other contestants took turns to vote for their favourite. While Didi got three votes, Chinyere got one vote but sadly this vote was not good enough to save her.
Chinyere and Sonia became the unsaved contestants and were evicted. It has been a beautiful journey in the past five weeks with ten contestants (including Ella-wild card entrant- left in the Academy.
